Unofficial arrival of Firefox 6
2011-08-17
A build of Firefox six, the most recent version of Mozilla's browser, has made an appearance on Mozilla's official FTP [file transfer protocol] server, but the browser maker has informed The Register that it's not the final version. According to The Reg, TechnoBolt claimed that the source code for Firefox six has been downloadable since Sat. , thirteen Aug 2011. The official launch of Firefox six is lined up for tomorrow and Mozilla has allegedly asked The Register not to establish a link to the installers as yet. "It wounds our FTP servers and is affecting our capability to release the final version of Firefox on time," Mozilla members are quoted as announcing. As per these wishes, we haven't linked to the builds in the / releases / 6.0 subdirectory of Mozilla's FTP server, however you can still download the source code for the Mac, Windows and Linux versions of Firefox six.
